My mum and other stand exhibitors weren’t as convinced as I was. They talked me into seeing the midwives working at the expo who suggested that I could be in labour.
That threw my original plan out the window, so I had to adapt and come up with Plan B.
This meant finishing up the day at the expo, quickly setting up for the next day, find someone to work the last day of the expo and go to the hospital to give birth.
That evening about 7 hours later I gave birth and got to hold my beautiful boy Jake Pavo for the very first time.
The lesson learnt is with kids things do not always go to plan; I need to be adaptable and flexible. Have your children even changed your well prepared plans?
